Tree Service in New Castle, PA

Lawrence County · About 20 miles south of our Hermitage shop

New Castle is a city of old brick and frame houses on tight lots, and a lot of them were built while the trees out front were already mature. Drive the streets off East Washington or up around Highland Avenue and you will see silver maples and Norway maples that have outgrown the tree lawn they were planted in — roots into the sidewalk, limbs into the service drop, and a canopy that overhangs two roofs at once. That is most of the work we do here: careful, rigged removals and clearance pruning in spaces where there is nowhere for a tree to simply fall.

The other half of New Castle work is the terrain. Lots that drop off toward the Shenango and Neshannock creeks grow tall, fast, weak-wooded trees — silver maple, box elder, ash — and every big wind event takes a few of them down across fences and garages. We bring compact loaders that fit between houses and a crane-equipped log truck for the removals that cannot be climbed and dropped safely.

New Castle sits inside our normal 25-mile working radius from Hermitage, so it is a regular route stop rather than a special trip, and estimates here are free like everywhere else we work. Ash trees that died back from emerald ash borer are still coming down all over Lawrence County — if you have a grey, brittle ash near the house, it is well past the point where climbing it is safe.
